If you are one of those people who do not believe in ghosts or horror movies don't scare you enough, these places in India will definitely redefine horror and mystery for you. The following places in India are said to be haunted by ghosts and it is even prohibited for the general public to enter these places after sunset or before sunrise on government orders. Some might find it funny, but the stories speak for themselves. Have what it takes to go on an adventure and visit one of these places? What could be more thrilling than going to a haunted place with your gang?

1) Bhangarh

Bhangarh, in Rajasthan is one of the most famous haunted places of India. One can even spot warning boards on entering the village, which prohibit the visitors to not roam around the village before sunrise and after sunset. There are a lot of stories about how Bhangarh, which was once a bustling village was reduced to mere ruins. A lot of tourists also claim that one feels restless and strange on visiting Bhangarh which only makes one wonder if what they about this place is really true.

2) Agrasen Ki Baoli

Although this place is bustling with people, especially couples who are on the lookout for a quiet corner in a place like Delhi, by night it turns into a haunted house. The baoli, which is another word for a traditional well, is said to have been filled with black water before which would entice people to jump in and indirectly, commit suicide. The water isn't obviously there anymore, but who can tell if the ghosts lurk around or not.

3)  Dumas Beach

Dumas Beach in Gujarat is also said to be haunted. Locals believe that the reason for the spook factor lies in the fact that this place used to be a cremation ground before. This beach is usually crowded with tourists and no such reports of any paranormal activity have surfaced. The beach is a beautiful, serene place to spend an evening though.

4) Shaniwarwada Fort

This fort in Pune is also apparently haunted. Visitors have heard an unknown voice of a little boy crying for help. It is believed that a boy had indeed died in this Fort, hence the strange noises. This fort is also famous for its huge entrance door. One must visit this place to see the colossal monument and get a taste of a bit of thrill.
