Hot Springs In India You Probably Didn't Know Existed!

There is very little doubt that India is a land full of surprises. From vast, golden desserts to glistening mountains and rivers, India has everything to take one's breath away. Hot Springs have always been a thing of fascination for everyone because they are rare and very, very enjoyable. They just seem like magical and not a lot of people get the chance to experience one. There are hot springs in India that are slowly being noticed by avid travelers and are still in the stage of being explored. If you're a nature freak and would love to take a dip in a hot spring, you're in for a treat. Here are some unique hot springs in India, which you might not even have heard of before.

1) Khir Ganga, Manikaran

Located in Paravati Valley, Khir Ganga is a charming getaway for adventure seekers who enjoy trekking. To reach Kheerganga one has to reach Barshaini and then trek towards Khir Ganga which makes for a gorgeous trail. On reaching Khir Ganga, Nature's beauty will leave you spellbound and you'll fall short of words to describe the quaint feeling on seeing such a miracle. Once you have let the feeling sink in, get into the Kund and enjoy the hot water bath in the lap of Nature. What could possibly be better than relaxing in a hot spring after a tiresome trek?
















2) Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh has a number of hot springs, Dirang being the most known. Dirang is located in the Kameng district and is visited by tourists and pilgrims not just for adventure but also for holy reasons. People take a dip in the sacred hot springs to get rid of diseases and wash away their sins. Dirang also has beautiful apple farms and sheep breeding farms where one is guaranteed to feel rejuvenated. This is one place that waits to be explored and is untouched by travelers so far.

















3) Legship, Sikkim

Sikkim is basically the Indian hub of hot springs. Phur Tsa Chu is located on the banks of the river Rangit. These springs are believed to have certain medicinal powers and one can see locals taking a dip in these springs. These aren't deep hot springs so one can't really swim in these. But the location and the trail that leads to the hot spring is beautiful. One can also visit the Shiva Temple in legship which can be easily spotted because of it's bright yellow roof. Some other hot springs you can find in Sikkim are the Borong, Ralong, Tatopani hotsprings, to name a few.

















4) Vashisht Village, Manali

Vashisht village is about 6 kms from Manali near the banks of Beas River. Legend has it that Sage Vashisht, used to meditate here in the Vashisht Temple. People from all over the world come to Manali, which is a famous tourist destination of Himachal Pradesh. Backpackers can either walk down to Vashisht or take an auto rickshaw. There are some amazing cafes and bakeries in this area of Manali where one can just sit and admire the beauty Manali beholds.
